My Review 
Diving into the world of "Brutal Obsession" felt like strapping on skates for a wild ride of hockey and dark romance – a combo I couldn't resist!

But, let's start with Grayson. The dude's a bit of a wildcard. I mean, he's a real prick. Not in that attractive dark romance kind of way, though. Listen, I love a dark hero as much as any romance reader, but Grayson just doesn’t hit the spot correctly. I'm all for an unhinged dark hero, but he's more like a spoiled teenager throwing a tantrum. What's his deal? Trying to make Violet’s life hell after almost wrecking it himself? Come on! And claiming her, but then making her “touch” someone else? Something just doesn't fit right with him.

Now, our heroine – let's be real, she's as bland as a boiled egg without salt. Multiple people obsessing over her? I scratched my head on that one. She takes everything Grayson throws at her. No fighting back, just rolling over, but she kinda enjoys it after a while, so who am I to judge?

But, hold up, there's a 'but.' Despite Grayson's antics and her lack of spice, there's something in the story that kept me hooked. Maybe it's the mystery, the story, the unexpected twists, who knows? But I kept turning those pages.

Looking ahead to the series, I'm on board! The other guys on the team seem like they've got potential to bring some excitement without the teenage tantrums. Here's to hoping for some fun in the next book of Hockey Gods!

I’m going to start by saying this: Cruel King is a cornerstone of the “RinaVerse” and an unapologetic guilty pleasure of mine. Yes, I’ve read it more than once, and despite all the hate this series gets, I’ll never be among the critics. This is a dark romance, and for those who love the genre, it delivers exactly what it promises: a whole lot of angst, intensity, and some serious emotional rollercoasters.
