The Pucking Wrong Guy

Blurb

Walker Davis is going to ruin me…but for once, it might be worth it.

I’m a pariah, an outcast, and my life is not my own. I went to that hockey game hoping for an escape and found one in him.

They call Walker Davis “Disney” for a reason, because the superstar goalie is the “Prince Charming” of every girl’s dreams.

He told me he understood I just wanted one perfect night… But now he’s everywhere I go.

He seems to know everything about me. He keeps saying I’m the one. And he’s trying to change my last name.

He’s crazy…

A wrong date can never be a happily ever after though…right?

My Review
Imagine living a life where fame feels like a cage, where every move you make isn't your own, but rather a puppet dance orchestrated by those who see you as nothing more than a golden ticket. That's the grim reality for Olivia, whose life reads like a twisted fairytale spun by the Brothers Grimm.
Her mother, a modern-day Cruella de Vil, and her agent, a vulture in a designer suit, orchestrate a macabre dance of manipulation and exploitation from the moment Olivia steps into the spotlight at the age of 9. The pills her mother forces her to take become her bitter medicine, keeping her compliant, all for the sake of her mother's insatiable hunger for fame and fortune.
When Olivia finally summons the courage to break free from this toxic cycle, her mom and agent pull the ultimate low blow, staging a made-up scenario where they not only drug her within an inch of her life but also stage incriminating photos that paint her as a drugged-up train wreck. Talk about a one-way ticket from Pop Stardom to Rock Bottom.
Here comes the rehab, fake news, and worst of all, because of her "dark past," she was deemed incapable of taking care of herself, so the two hyenas masqueraded as saving angels, taking over Olivia's life. She didn't have access to her own income; she literally couldn't do anything without their "approval." She thought her life was over, and that became the next years of her life, hiding from the world closed up in her ivory tower.
Two years later arrives Harley, her star hockey player cousin and only normal family member, with her girlfriend, who are the only beacon of light in her otherwise murky existence, finally dragging her to a hockey game where she crosses paths with none other than "Disney Prince" Walker, the opposing team's goalie with a heart of gold. Cue the fireworks, people!
When their eyes clashed, the game was on. And let me tell you, their meet and greet was amazing; it made me all giggly and fuzzy. Their initial encounter is like something out of a rom-com, leaving me grinning like a Cheshire cat. But hold onto your hats, folks, because things take a sharp turn when Olivia, scarred by her past and, let's be honest, present, insists on a one-night stand with a fake identity. Let's just say Walker isn't exactly thrilled about being treated as disposable, and in his desperation and spark of possessiveness, he did something very questionable.
And let’s not forget who Walker's best friends and "mentors" are. Stalker extraordinaire #1 and #2, Lincoln and Ari. Can you imagine the advice he gets?
Anyway, when Walker gets back into Olivia's life and as their romance heats up, we're treated to a whirlwind of passion, drama, and enough twists to make a pretzel jealous.
Despite the occasional hiccup (looking at you, Walker), the way he treats Olivia has me swooning. And don't even get me started on the dynamic between him and his brothers and his teammates—it's like the ultimate bromance, with a side of hockey.

Now, I'm counting down the days until the next installment hits the shelves, itching to uncover the secrets that Hero has locked down. Because if there's one thing I've learned from "The Pucking Wrong series" it's that love may be a battlefield, but it's also one hell of a ride.
